Install Pharos on Plesk

Updated 2026-09-08 · Pharos 0.5.10

Use the web installer when you cannot change the document root or access SSH. Pharos 0.5.10 requires PHP 8.3+, the listed extensions, writable application storage, outbound HTTPS and cron.

  1. Create an empty test domain or subdomain in Plesk and select PHP 8.3 or newer for that domain.
  2. Download the installer and upload it to that domain’s web folder.
  3. Open the installer, review web PHP and cron PHP separately, and resolve blocking checks.
  4. Complete download and database configuration. The application stays outside the web root; public files are copied into it.
  5. Review the proposed cron line. Use automatic setup when available, or add it in Scheduled Tasks.
  6. Finish setup, create the administrator and verify a scheduled check.

Hosting restrictions vary. A detected PHP path is not proof that CLI extensions and cron permissions are correct.
